01-24-15: A New Day Dawns.
First off, a belated Happy New year to all.

So yea, my father passed away on December 2nd of 2014. I'm not one of those people that wallows in his own misery so on January 12th, (one day after the traditional 40 day mourning period, it's a Greek thing...), we were back in the rehearsal studios banging out a new tune. I've been "threatening" to release a new CD for a decade as life and death kept getting in the way. Now there are no more distractions and we're full speed ahead. Myself along with Arno Hecht, Mike Lawler, Even Steven and Taso Karras are back in the studio this Monday, January 26th. It's full speed ahead from this point on. I'll keep you folks updated.

06-30-14: Uhm, Yea, I Forgot About The Website.
With apologies to all for the long delay in updating but since I started the facebook page ( I have been posting little trivial updates there. Basically since September I, along with Even Steven Levee, Taso Karras, Mike Lawler and Arno Hecht have been in the rehearsal space, working on the songs I've written. With the plan of recording this CD old school style with everyone playing together like a live album the songs themselves have to be perfect before cutting tracks. We were off the last two months and will be picking up again soon and am hoping to have a few song samples posted in the near future. I wont go back into how different this album will be so I'll just leave you all with a few song titles.
"Let You Go"
"Hey Girl"
"The 7th Day"
"Ricky's Roadside Diner"
"This Was"
and about six or seven other. And maybe a cover or two.

We're back in the studio on September 12th to work out some new tunes.
That night's roll call is: Arno Hecht on sax, Mike Lawler on 12 string, Even Steven on bass,
Taso Karras on drums/bouzouki and myself on vocals and slide guitar.

08-05-13: Harry Slash and The Slashtones are now "officially" on Facebook!

Please note: "Harry Slash" also has a new personal page but you need to know his real name to find it.
6-23-13: Harry Slash: "TALES FROM A GRIEVOUS WORLD" Updated.
One of the main players sprained his wrist last week so we're on hold until he's healed up. That's all.

4-12-13: Harry Slash: "TALES FROM A GRIEVOUS WORLD" Updated.
A few more musicians have been added to "Tales Of Grievous World". Tony Moribito (f/k/a "Tony Moore" of RIOT fame) will be playing bass on some tracks and Slashtones' newcomer Gil Parris (Blood, Sweat & Tears, Dr. John, Bernie Williams, ...) will be coming onboard on electric guitar. This is the most eclectic cast I have ever had the pleasure of working with and can't wait for this album to be done. While it will be a departure from some of my better known tunes like "This Is Extreme!" it will fit nicely alongside tunes like "Huka Blues". It's gonna be different, that I can promise.

3-20-13: Harry Slash: "TALES FROM A GRIEVOUS WORLD" Updated.
Just letting you folks know I've been pretty much living in the recording studio, working on the new CD "Tales From A Grievous World". The tunes are coming out better than I expected and are a complete musical departure from anything I've done in the past.

Scheduled to appear on this project (aside from myself on vocals & slide guitar) are long time studio collaborators Arno Hecht (sax) and Steve "Budgie" Werner (drums), former Slashtones Mark Hitt (electric guitar solos), "Even" Steven Levee (bass) and Mike Lawler (12 string acoustic guitar), as well as Taso Karras (bouzouki) and "Chilly" Willie Scopetone (piano).

There will also be a few other people appearing on this CD, some I haven't worked with before and some that I have. Just waiting to dot the "I"s and cross the "T"s before I announce their names. If things keep going as they have I'll be dropping the first few songs on iTunes before the summer.

PS: Next Wednesday, March 27th will be The Slashtones' 20th anniversary.

Productions has begun on my first CD of all original tunes in over a decade. This album will be a departure from what folks are used to hearing from me. It will be an album of songs and stories. Some of the tunes were written before (and during) the ECW era but were never recorded, others are brand spanking new, but all will have my own personal twisted take on life, the universe and other fun stuff. Most of the songs (words & music) are written by myself alone, but others will be a collaboration between myself and some good folks I've always wanted to work with. The CD itself, if things go as planned, will feature a small army of my musical comrades in arms. The CD and the singles will be available on itunes at first, followed by in-store distribution later on.
